Outfits for Outdoor Family Pictures!
Best outfits for outdoor family pictures in Nebraska from Amazon!
Okay, so you’ve done the hard part! You’ve checked out all the local photographers, selected the one you like best for their style, quality and for your budget, and paid for your session fees. Now what? It’s time to start putting together your family’s outfits!
Choosing what to wear, for some, comes naturally. But for most others, it can actually be quite stressful to figure out what goes, is on trend, or what looks best on your body type and more. Clothes shopping can also be quite a production as well, especially for a family with boys or little ones that are less than thrilled with the task. While none of us need to be Lady GaGa or social media fashionista influencers for our photos, we do want to put a little bit more energy and effort into dressing ourselves and our family to look our best for those family pictures we’ve paid so much for. Believe it or not, poor outfit choices can make or break your final product. This is where having a professional help make this process a little easier can be hugely beneficial. I’ve curated some looks for family pictures that are neutral and great for outdoor photos any time of the year.
Okay, so I’ve done the hard work for you and curated several stoppable style boards for the whole family. Whether you are a family of three, four or five, these looks will get you heading in the right direction. And the best part is, you can shop them all directly from my Amazon Wish List I’ve created in the sizes you need and have them shipped directly to you. Click on any of the images to take you directly to my shopping list to get started, and keep scrolling for more looks and style board inspirations!
When looking for outfits, try to find a print, color scheme or outfit you love and are inspired by, either for you, your child or your spouse. Use that outfit as your starting point to curate the rest of the looks. It helps if your outfit has a remade color palette or print to help you pull color for the other outfits from. Use a mix of solids, prints, and textures to create a cohesive, well-coordinated look. Remember to use layers when possible and find shoes that match the look and are clean, work with the location you are taking pictures in, and be sure to share your photos of your outfits with your photographer! This greatly helps us photographers to find the perfect locations for your outfits and the vibe you have in mind. This “Earthy Tones” style board would be very versatile in any natural outdoor space and good for spring through fall colors as well! Plus, these are outfits your whole family can rewear during the year!

When going for a more bold style like this one, make sure you have a consistent neutral color to ground all the other elements, as shown here. Black was the grounding color that carried throughout this look to make it work. Make sure the patterns compliment one another without overpowering and becoming too busy by layering in solids with texture. Solids should be in coordinating colors so those prints tie it together and make your looks flow. Now just look at all those layers, textures and accessories!
Okay, okay…now I know the last outfit might not be everyone’s vibe, and that’s okay. So let’s look at another style board that is still is high on style and has those creamy, dreamy neutral tones.
If rustic is more your style, here’s an adorable style board perfect for those prairie or farm photos with a boho twist! Works for pictures in any season, spring, summer or fall!
